Epic Seven STOVE: Account, PC Client and Steam Transfer

STOVE is Smilegate's game platform. It runs the Epic Seven account system, the official website and community, and the STOVE PC client for Windows. Even on Steam you need a STOVE account. To play an existing account on Steam, transfer it to the Steam login type on the STOVE website (My Info > Transfer) before you first launch the game on Steam.

What STOVE Does for Epic Seven

Your Epic Seven account lives on STOVE, whether you sign in with email, a social login or Steam. The official Epic Seven website and community, including notices and the coupon page, are hosted on STOVE. The STOVE PC client was the original way to play on Windows before the Steam release.

The Steam store page lists a third-party STOVE account as a requirement, and it can be linked to your Steam account. Smilegate says Steam, STOVE PC and mobile offer the same gameplay with cross-play and identical prices.

How to Transfer Your Account to Steam

Smilegate's guide is short. Transfers can be done at any time with no application period, and everything carries over, including unclaimed rewards, event items and Epic Pass progress.

  • Log in to your existing account on the STOVE website
  • Go to My Info → Transfer
  • Transfer the account to the Steam Login type
  • Launch Epic Seven on Steam and log in with that account

What Happens to Your Old Login

A transfer moves your game data to the Steam-login account. You can still play on the STOVE PC client and on mobile, but only by signing in with that Steam-linked account. As one creator explained, the old email or Google login no longer holds your data after the transfer.

There is also a cooldown. If you transferred within the last three months, the Transfer button is disabled until three months have passed since your last transfer.

Fixing the Temporary Steam Account

Steam creates a temporary account the first time you play. If you want to keep it, link it to a STOVE account, because unlinked temporary accounts can be lost and customer service may be unable to help. If you want your old account instead, the temporary one is in the way.

The error "This information has already been registered. Please start over." means a temporary Steam account already exists. Register it on STOVE by signing up with Steam as the login method, convert or withdraw it under My Profile Icon > Account Information, then transfer your old account.

Avoid Losing Your Data

Smilegate warned that players who transferred to Steam login and then deleted their in-game account in the Steam demo lost all data, including progress on their original server. Never use in-game account deletion after transferring. If it already happened, contact Epic Seven customer service.

Before transferring, note your current login method and account ID. iTechGuides also recommends not spending or progressing until you confirm you are on the right profile and server.

STOVE PC Client or Steam?

Both run the same game with the same requirements, so the choice is mostly about launcher preference. The Steam demo could not run at the same time as the live STOVE PC client. The October 29, 2026 update also ended the PC Client Exclusive Epic Points BETA service.

Steam adds controller support and the new Foundry server, though Foundry is also reachable from STOVE PC and mobile. See our Steam guide and PC guide for more.

STOVE Support and Official Pages

STOVE hosts the official Epic Seven website, notices and community boards, as well as the official coupon page at epic7.onstove.com/en/coupon. Smilegate announces fixes and schedules there first, including the fixes for launch-week Steam issues.

For account problems after a transfer, contact STOVE or Epic Seven customer service rather than creating a new account. The support email listed on the coupon page is Help_epic7@smilegate.com.
