How the RTA Draft Works

Every match starts with secret pre-bans: two per player at Champion league and above, one below Champion. Both players can ban the same hero, and a banned hero is removed for both sides. If you do not pick a pre-ban in time, the game uses your most recent pre-ban.

A coin flip decides first pick. The first player takes one hero, then picks alternate in pairs until each side has five, giving a 1-2-2-2-2-1 order. Each side's third pick is protected, and after the draft each player bans one enemy hero that is not protected, leaving a 4v4 battle.

World Arena Rules to Know

Guardians and Supporters cannot be used in World Arena, and Battle Frenzy activates if a fight runs too long. Victory Points decay from Gold league upward: 2% every 7 days at Gold, and on a shorter cycle at Master and above. Matches are against players from every server.

During the draft you can hold-press a hero to check its stats, which coach Valky uses to read opposing speed and gear. Season-end rewards depend on your final league.

Fall 2026 Season End and Rewards

The World Arena Fall 2026 season ends on November 14, 2026 at 02:59 UTC, and the Pre-Season starts at 03:30 UTC the same day. New Warfare Rules arrive on November 19, and the Spring 2027 season date is still to be announced. Spectator Mode is disabled from October 31 to November 14.

Drafting Tips from Top Players

Your pre-bans shape your whole account. Valky, a former top-100 player, bans Empyrean Ilynav because Defense Penetration speeds up games, and also bans Harsetti when he has first pick. When first picking, he takes Notos or Lady of the Scales.

Hideout Gacha's draft tool builds pick suggestions from Champion-and-above data, combining each hero's win rate in that draft slot, its synergy with your picks and its record against the enemy's. Heroes with fewer than 1,000 recorded games or a pick rate under 2% are left out. Check our tier list for current meta picks.

The Call of Chaos 3v3 Mode

The 8th anniversary added The Call of Chaos to World Arena. It is a 3v3 mode where you win by destroying the opponent's rear-row Guardian, with a pick and ban phase of about a minute and up to two rerolls. Destiny effects chosen mid-match buff allies or weaken enemies.

A run ends at 7 wins or 3 losses and gives ranking points and shop currency. Speed still decides a lot here, so the same speed-tuning rules apply; see our CR check guide.

RTA on Steam and E7WC 2026

Steam players can play existing servers right away. On the new Foundry server, World Arena opens on December 10, 2026, and matchmaking is limited to Foundry players at first. The Get Ready! World Arena event gives 20 points per Arena win and 10 per battle, with rewards up to a Skin Ticket.

Leagues and Victory Points

Your league is set by Victory Points, and rewards depend on your final league when the season ends. The leagues run from Bronze, Silver and Gold up through Master, Challenger, Champion, Warlord and Emperor to Legend. Champion and above also unlocks a second pre-ban.

Expect some instability around big events. During the 8th anniversary, creator azallea reported disconnects that cost points in Warlord matches. Play when servers are stable and review your losses with our match history guide.
