Epic Seven on Steam: Launch, Foundry Server and Account Transfer

Release Date and Price

Smilegate announced the Steam version during the 8th anniversary showcase, opened the store page on August 22, 2026 and launched the game after maintenance on October 29, 2026. The Steam store lists the release date as October 28 because of the time zone. The game is free to play with in-app purchases.

Before launch the game passed 100,000 Steam wishlists, which unlocked wishlist rewards for all players. A demo ran from October 8 to October 26 during Steam Next Fest, and demo progress did not carry over.

What You Get on Steam

Smilegate's FAQ says Steam, STOVE PC and mobile offer the same gameplay, with cross-play across all three and no price differences. Steam players can join both the new Foundry server and the existing servers. Controller support was added with the October 29 update.

The Steam version has Korean and English voices and text in ten languages. Japanese voice-over was not available at launch, and Smilegate says it will return later. The game requires a STOVE account, which can be linked to Steam, and uses kernel-level anti-cheat.

The New Foundry Server

Foundry is a fresh server for the Steam launch, so new players start on an equal footing. Draft Arena opened on day one, Guild War follows on November 19 and World Arena on December 10, 2026. At first, matchmaking for these modes only includes Foundry players.

Foundry launch events run until December 31, 2026. A Foundry Celebration Pack, sold only on that server, is available until November 19.

Moving Your Existing Account to Steam

To keep your progress, log in to your existing account on the STOVE website and use My Info > Transfer to switch it to the Steam login type, then log in on Steam. All progress, heroes, items, purchase history, unclaimed rewards and Epic Pass progress carry over. Do this before you first open the game on Steam.

Steam creates a temporary account the first time you play. If that already happened, register the temporary account on STOVE and withdraw it before transferring, otherwise you will see a "This information has already been registered" error. Our STOVE guide has the full steps.

System Requirements

Launch Issues and Reviews

Launch week had some problems. Smilegate patched a client crash in certain stages on October 29, improved in-game account transfer on October 30, and listed controller issues it is fixing. On October 31, 2026, Steam user reviews were Mixed, with 56% of 423 reviews positive.

Should You Start Fresh on Foundry?

Foundry is the best chance in years to start Epic Seven on an equal footing. Guide creator EPYRE points out that no one on Foundry has limited heroes that others cannot get, and he planned to reroll multiple accounts there. Its PvP modes open gradually, so early players can prepare before World Arena opens on December 10.

Veterans may prefer their main account, which works on Steam after a transfer. You can also play both, since Steam gives access to existing servers as well as Foundry.
