Epic Seven Damage Calculator: Formula and Tools

Epic Seven has no official damage calculator, so players use community tools such as E7Calc (e7calc.xyz) and Hideout Gacha's calculator, which uses the same model. Both work from the same core formula: Attack times the skill's rate times a 1.871 constant and other multipliers, divided by enemy Defense over 300 plus 1. Crit Damage is capped at 350%.

The Damage Formula

Hideout Gacha publishes the formula its calculator uses, which it says matches e7calc.xyz. Outgoing damage is Attack times the skill rate times 1.871, then times power, skill enhancement, element and other damage modifiers. Epic7x describes the same structure.

Defense reduces that damage by dividing it by (enemy Defense ÷ 300 × remaining penetration) + 1. Damage reduction and damage transfer on the target apply on top. In short, every 300 Defense roughly adds another full share of mitigation.

Multipliers and Caps

A few fixed values come up in every calculation. These are consistent across Hideout Gacha and Epic7x, so they are safe to use in your own math.

  • Elemental advantage: 1.1×
  • Attack buff: 1.5×
  • Crushing hit: 1.3× a normal hit
  • Miss: 0.75× a normal hit
  • Crit Damage cap: 350% (400% with the PvE Imprint Circuit damage board)

Best Calculators to Use

E7Calc 2.0 at e7calc.xyz is the community standard and also includes a Speed Tuner and Speed Solver. Hideout Gacha's Epic Seven Damage Calculator mirrors its constants and buffs and shows Critical, Crushing, Normal and Miss damage for each skill. Creator aneuo's 2026 tools roundup also recommends Cecilia Bot for filtering heroes and artifacts by effects.

Avoid generic calculator pages that rename the same formula or give approximations. Several low-quality sites use different structures, which can give misleading numbers.

How to Use a Damage Calculator

Pick your hero, then enter the attacker's Attack, any Attack% from imprints or buffs, Crit Damage and Damage Increase. Toggle effects such as elemental advantage, attack buffs, Rage, Torrent or Penetration sets. Then enter the target's Defense, Defense buffs or debuffs, damage reduction and penetration resistance.

Set each skill's Molagora enhancement level from +0 to +5. The tool then shows the expected damage of each skill for every hit type, so you can compare gear swaps before spending Gold on enhancement.

What Calculators Do Not Model

Calculators leave out some effects. Hideout Gacha lists hero-unique extra damage, aftermath and detonation hits, Attack drawn from another stat, stack-based effects, artifact procs and some conditional effects. Skills affected by these are flagged as approximate.

For heroes whose damage scales from HP or Defense, enter the caster's max HP or Defense where the tool allows it. Boss Arunka, for example, scales damage with Defense, so her Defense matters more than her Attack.

Turning the Math into Better Builds

The formula explains several build rules. Defense Break and Penetration shrink the Defense term, so breakers and penetration effects add a lot of damage against tanky targets. Once Crit Damage reaches the 350% cap, extra Crit Damage is wasted outside the Imprint Circuit.

In Hall of Trials, players note that additional-damage effects scale poorly, which is why crit-focused builds win there. See our builds guide and Hall of Trials guide.

Worked Example of the Defense Term

The /300 defense term shows why Defense Break is so strong. A target with 1,500 Defense divides your damage by 1,500 ÷ 300 + 1, which is 6. If penetration ignores half of that Defense, the divisor drops to 3.5, so the same hit deals about 70% more damage.

This is also why tanks stack Defense and why Defense-scaling heroes like Boss Arunka exist. Calculators let you test these trade-offs before you spend Gold on enhancement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Defense Break increase damage a lot?

Yes. Lowering the target's Defense shrinks the divisor in the damage formula, which can sharply raise damage.

Is e7calc.xyz free?

Yes, it is a free community website, and Hideout Gacha's calculator is free too.

Is there an official Epic Seven damage calculator?

No. Players use community tools such as E7Calc (e7calc.xyz) and Hideout Gacha's damage calculator.

What is the Epic Seven damage formula?

Attack × skill rate × 1.871 × modifiers, divided by (enemy Defense ÷ 300 × remaining penetration + 1).

What is the Crit Damage cap?

350%, raised to 400% in PvE by the Imprint Circuit damage board.
