Official PC Options
The STOVE PC client is Smilegate's original Windows client, downloaded from the official Epic Seven website. Steam is the newer option and adds the Foundry server and controller support. Smilegate's FAQ confirms both have the same system requirements and the same prices.
Your progress follows your account, not the client. With cross-play across Steam, STOVE PC and mobile, you can switch devices and keep playing, as long as you sign in with the same account.
System Requirements
The Steam listing gives these requirements, and Smilegate says the STOVE PC client is the same. Only Windows is listed, so there is no native Mac version on Steam.
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit or higher
- Processor: Intel i5 (minimum) / Intel i7 (recommended)
- Memory: 8 GB (minimum) / 16 GB (recommended)
- Graphics: GTX 1060 (minimum) / GTX 1660 (recommended)
- DirectX 11, 10 GB storage
Controller Support
The October 29, 2026 update added support for external input devices, meaning controllers. Smilegate has acknowledged early controller issues it is fixing: a scrollbar highlighted as an icon in the Material Selection screen, icons skipped in the Rewards screen and a Battle Frenzy window that cannot be closed.
A crash during certain stages on STOVE PC and Steam was patched on October 29. Fixes for the remaining issues will be announced on the official STOVE website.
Playing With an Emulator
Emulator makers such as BlueStacks, MuMuPlayer and LDPlayer publish guides for running the Android version on PC. The usual method is to install the emulator, sign in to Google Play and install Epic Seven. These guides are promotional, so treat their claims with care.
Since free official PC clients exist, an emulator is only worth it if you specifically want the Android build. Some guide creators still use emulators alongside the official client.
Moving Your Account to PC
If you already play on mobile with an email or social login, you can play the same account on the STOVE PC client straight away. For Steam, transfer the account to the Steam login type on the STOVE website first, then launch Steam. Our STOVE guide covers the steps and the temporary-account error.
Installing Steam does not automatically import mobile progress. Note your login method and account ID before you start, and confirm you are on the right server before spending anything.
Which PC Option Should You Pick?
Pick Steam if you want the Foundry server, controller support or Steam features, and the STOVE PC client if you prefer Smilegate's launcher. Gameplay, prices and cross-play are identical. A player testing the Steam demo described the client as noticeably smoother.
New players can start with our beginner guide, and returning players should read the Steam guide before choosing a server.
Languages and Voice on PC
On Steam, voice-over is available in Korean and English, and text is available in Korean, English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Thai. Japanese voice-over was unavailable at the Steam launch and is planned to return later.
If you need a specific language, check it on the client you choose before you start. Mobile and PC share the same account, so you can switch later without losing progress.
